JOB DESCRIPTION
The Robotics Engineer (RE) at Black Coffee Robotics develops software for a range of applications, translating higher level objectives into high performing, well tested and maintainable code. to join our team. You'll contribute to cutting-edge robotics projects, design and develop software, and work with a talented team.
WORK LOCATION
The position is fully remote (within India)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project execution
- Keeping up to date with latest robotics developments and trends - Reinforcement learning, simulations, LVMs/LLMs etc.
- Contribute to release and maintenance of open-source packages by team BCR.
- Take initiatives and lead wherever a scope of improvement is identified.
Growth Activities
- Come up with software designs, and architectures for relevant applications
- Independently write code, covering several edge cases. Provide reviews to your peers.
- Mentor junior developers/interns in the team.
- Support robot deployment, and some degree of customer interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Experience
- Work experience of 1-3 years
- Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python
- Extensive experience with ROS2 development
- Deep understanding of core robotics concepts (SLAM, Controls, Planning, Transforms)
- Experience with simulation tools (Gazebo/ISAAC sim/Mujoco)
- Proficiency with development tools (Docker, Git)
- Excellent communication skills
